I have the key that came with my computer for the media center edition software. Were going to reinstall windows on my computer but I do not have the disc. My roommate has a legitimate XP disc he purchased, not media center edition. Question is can i use his xp disc with my key, or is the fact that my key is for media center edition going to give us problems.
Thanks, sorry if it was a confusing question.

what do i do if i need to re-install windows? Should I call dell and get the disc? They never sent one out with the computer when I purchased it. The key is on a little sticker on the bottom of the computer.
