I've tried to run each of the four disks but nothing comes up as seen on most software. I saw where print shop 15 requires you to disable certain programs before installtion a few other intricate detailed steps but since I misplaced manual, I have no way of knowing how to initiate the startup procedure. Help?!

1) My Flash Player keeps disappearing. It shows in the ADD AND REMOVE PROGRAMS list but when I go onto sites that need it it says I don't have it or its out of date. If I try to download it from the Adobe website nothing happens.

2) If I try to open a .pdf link from a website it just shuts the browser page down.

3) If I try to download anything I get a message when it tries to install "Windows cannot access the specified device path of file. You do not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

4) My System Restore won't let me restore anything. It just says it hasn't worked and nothing has been changed.

I'm thinking of resetting my lappy to factory settings but wouldn't I need an XP disk for that? It was already on the lappy when I got it. I have a couple of disks that came with it...

Popped up...it starts..."Managed PC boot agent (mba)v4.02(build 9)

If i push the right arrow key boot method changes from PXE to TCP/IP toNetWare to RPL...Which should it be on?

We just got this HP Laptop from a third party sale and I waned to see if we could fix it or if it was garbage. They say it has Windows XP and that its a 2006. Lightly used. When I press the power button it turns on no start meno or windows logos..just black screens then it says Operating system not found. If you push any buttons it just flashes a copyright screen, then one that says starting or something like that, and then Operating system not found. It sayd to push ctrl alt b and thats what brought up the boot agent screen.

Any help please..right now its on the blue screen, im awaiting further instruction...Please someone!

Why is it that when I pressed space before a letter, instaed of moving the letter to the right side, the letter gets deleted?
e.g.
i ama boy.(I am a boy)
there's an error there, so I moved my cursor in between "am" and "a" and pressed space. Instaed of moving the "a" to the right side, it deletes the "a".
How could I solve this problem?

My college requires you to buy your laptop through them, and they don't give you the install disks because they preload everything. Now that I'm graduating, the computer won't be covered if it dies for any reason... so it wouldn't be beneficial for me to buy an upgrade cd (Vista for example) because if my computer dies it won't do me any good, correct? So, I would be better off buying the full-version, because if it dies, I would need those cd's to bring it back to life...

I have a Windows XP laptop which had a corrupted "windows\system32\config \system" file. Tried to run a repair install, but the installer did not see the original install (probably due to the corrupt file). Using recovery console, we managed to repair the file, but still cannot log into windows (it halts immediately after loading MUP.sys). I have created a second partition on the hard drive, and have installed XP there. We would like to copy the program files directory over to the new partition, copy the original registry (so we don't have to reinstall everything), and then delete the original partition and re-merge the drive. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to copy the registry from outside of windows.

As an aside, is the file which was originally corrupted the file in which windows actually stores the registry?
