Popped up...it starts..."Managed PC boot agent (mba)v4.02(build 9)

If i push the right arrow key boot method changes from PXE to TCP/IP toNetWare to RPL...Which should it be on?

We just got this HP Laptop from a third party sale and I waned to see if we could fix it or if it was garbage. They say it has Windows XP and that its a 2006. Lightly used. When I press the power button it turns on no start meno or windows logos..just black screens then it says Operating system not found. If you push any buttons it just flashes a copyright screen, then one that says starting or something like that, and then Operating system not found. It sayd to push ctrl alt b and thats what brought up the boot agent screen.

Any help please..right now its on the blue screen, im awaiting further instruction...Please someone!

Hate to tell you, sounds like you bought a lemon.

What MODEL of laptop is it ? Did you get any discs with it ? If so lookfor recovery disc, set to boot from CD and use that.

you can first try to get in through safe mode by pressing f8 emediatly after turning your computer on and selecting safe mode if that does not work try last known good configuration if not reinstall os
immediatly after you push the power buttin you start tapping F8 once or twice per second until you get to a screen that had many options like safe mode, last known good config, etc the menu is the advanced boot options menu, when youre there you choose just safe mode and when it asks to choose the profile you choose administrator

None, what you are seeing is the BOOT ROM for your onboard network card, in teh old days, companies can use the computers without a hard drive, booting directly off their server.
Operating System not found meant either the hard drive is not found, or simply, no Windows XP installed.

It seems that Windows XP Software was installed. Did they gave you a disc. If they did just insert the disc, then try to reinstall or repait Windows XP.

If not, call them to give you one or purchase another Windows XP Disc.
