Try AVG... its quite good... the only catch is you have to renew registration every 12 months... which isn't such a bad thing
You can also try Avast or Antivir...

If you have 512MB of RAM then go for AVAST! home edition.
It is really good.
If you have a lower amount of RAM then just go for AVG free or Avira antiVir PE classic

Avast has been awarded best free av software. Download it from www.download.com (CNet.com). Automatic update is there besides almost TOTAL protection.

AVG Free is a decent anti virus that doesn't use up many resources. Try it. Get it here:
