How do I transfer pictures and movies from my razor to my computer?

I can connect it and my computer opens it but it says that it can't read this file type.

Try opening the phone like a file and drag and drop the files without opening them. Check what format they are in (the letters after the . like "file.000"; then put that in google as ".000 format" and you will find webpages that tell you which programs will open it.
