A friend of mine purchased office 2007, but accidentally threw away the box containing the serial number before he entered it (he skipped the optional serial number entry by mistake). Is there a way he can contact microsoft and request a new serial number? he has a receipt and the original disc.

I was using Microsoft Word and saved a file as "chapter 2 notes" on a jump drive and I had the file open and wasn't using it then I closed the Word window and it asked if I wanted to save the changes and i said yes and then it said something was wrong with the file and it changed the name to "~WRL1840.tmp". Now when I tried to open the file it wouldn't work. A bunch of weird characters came up with like boxes and stuff. Is there anyway I can change it back? What happened?

I get all the way to finding the file but I get redirected and I guess I have to find a software..it says

"This page will help you find a software needed to open your file...
Software available at RARLAB WinRAR or WinAce...

so my problem is I don't know which software to download or is it free??Can anyone help me but no computer terms just plain and simple english that everyone understands...Thanks

I desperately need to learn MS Excel, Access and Powerpoint. I've bought a book and tried to teach myself, but it didn't really work.

I'd like to attend a course where I'll have an instructor and stuff.

I did a little bit of research on line and the websites just showed me all these colleges.
I don't need any certifications or anything; I just need to know how to use these programs so that I can get a good job.

I live in Virginia. Can anybody tell me where to look?

Everytime I log into a program called Citrix, that goes fine, but then I try to run the training program on there and when I do I get the message "destination server unavailable now. try again later." I don't have this problem on any other websites or anything.

I downloaded a musicvideo and the format is MPG. I have tried numerous programs to convert this (ie;I want to be able to burn to VCD) but every program I have tried says 'File format error' I am tearing my hair out please can someone help? I am seeking a *free* system that I can use to edit my .jpg images. I simply intend to edit a few personal photos that I take..... nothing elaborate (but, if the mood strikes me, I might decide to do some extensive image-editing!)
