Is there a way I can convert them to Real Player or Media player. Thanks for any help.

I have a Biostar BIOS (I think that's how it is). I want to install Knoppix to my external HDD. After I switch the boot sequence to start from cd, it restarts, starts to boot up, detects all my USB hardware, and freezes. It says "Missing or corrupt file A:\DRDOS\SCDD.SYS". I assume it's because I don't have a bootable floopy, nor a floppy drive, for that matter. But what can I do?

Hey. I'm trying to restore my Windows 98 desktop to its factory settings, i.e. manually crash my computer. (I have the a recovery disk that can restore my settings.) How can I do this? I tried the "regedit" thing that people recommend all over the internet, but I couldn't figure out how to work that. Help, please.

I can't get WordPerfect 11 to load on my computer. It looks like it is with the hourglass but finally comes up saying that the program is not responding. Any help would be appreciated. I have reloaded the program, but it is still the same.

Wanting to change size of thumbnails in Win Explorer, can't get it to work. Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Have gone to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer and created a new Dword value called ThumbnailSize and assigned some random values but not having any effect. I'm using Windows XP Pro, SP2.

Many sites "contact us" and "submit to" links bring the site's e-mail address up. For years, mine brought up Yahoo mail, but after a crash it now brings up the address on Outlook, which I'ver never used and don't want to - Control Panel, Internet options, Programs bring up a selection - Yahoo not among them, although I have yahoo on my desktop (shortcut). Anything I can do to bring it back into action?

Hi everyone... this might sound like a silly question or something, i'ts really annoying me though! I've tried everything I can think of = [

When I open Microsoft word (i think 2005 or 2006 :-S) on my account the text starts about halfway down the page, I cant put pictures or anything up there and the only way I can d it is by using a HUGE text box and writing in that or going on somebody else's account but I basically just want the convenience of being able to use my account.
I've tried changing the margins and fiddling about with the page settings and stuff like that, this is my last resort people!!!

I have a lap top and I'm getting an error unmoutable_boot_volume now the cdrom on this thing doesn't work I'm waiting for a replacement I only have a working floppy drive. I went to M.S and download the six recovery disks but I still run into the same error. So I can't load windows into safe mode, debug mode, normal. I just get this stupid blue screen. is there any way I can fix this thing.

Does anyone know what this means? Is it a problem with my computer or with their site? Also, I think my firewall is causing me problems. It's hard to figure out, because sometimes I can log on and sometimes I can't. I've tried configuring my ports as Second Life suggests, but their information isn't actually for Macs, so I don't know if I'm truly accomplishing anything. I've never tried configuring either, so I'm a little anxious about what I'm doing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
