Wanting to change size of thumbnails in Win Explorer, can't get it to work. Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Have gone to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer and created a new Dword value called ThumbnailSize and assigned some random values but not having any effect. I'm using Windows XP Pro, SP2.

I wish Answers woudn't truncate paths - it should read... HKCU \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer

What values did you assign?
When you want to manually modify the thumbnail size in Xp you must set it's quality also (if you don't do this it may not work).
ThumbnalSize value must be set to a number larger then 96 (this is the default and if you set it lower it will automatically increase it to 96).
ThumbnailQuality must be inserted the same way and you must set a number for it between 50 and 100. (this is in percentage, 50% is the default).
Save the regsitry, reboot and see if it works.
