I bought adobe premier 2.0 (editing software) the other day and i'm having trouble adding effects such as fade out and in to my movie clips. Can someone help me?

i cant open ms dos batch files.i have tried opening all the ms dos batch files in my computer.but the same error comes for all the files,"another program is currently using this file".anyone help.

I'm looking to install Linux as a secondary OS to boot on my currently WinXP Home Asus Notebook. I'm concerned with whether Linux would automatically find, install, and update drivers for my Notebook components such as graphics card, BIOS, webcam, audio drivers, etc., as the original Asus Live Update will not be installed on the Linux. Also, can Linux be installed in the same partition as the current WinXP Home?

I currently have SystemWorks 2006 & Personal Firewall installed.
Which of the following should i upgrade to?
Antivirus 2007 (can i only upgrade the antivirus part of systemworks?)
Norton 360
Internet Security 2007

Suggestions?

PS. i want to stay with norton even though i know it might not be as good. im just more comfortable with it.

So I have two computers now. I have an old one and a new one. After having a new pc that I just purchase, I reformat my old pc and wanted to give it away. However, I realize that Microsoft word is missing and other stuff are missing. I was wondering if I can copy a file from m new pc and transfer it to my old one so I have it.

your system has not been modified. i have windows xp and had to use my recovery disc to start things over. also how do i disable the firewall? mine says it's something about group policy and theres no way to check or uncheck anything there? thank you thank you

When I have multiple websites open in different Windows
/internet explorer/ and I close just one of them it starts act slow and gives an error saying"an error occured .' and I have to click END NOW. But when I do that t automaticly closes all the pages I had .
HOW can I fix this?

It has a paint Icon. And I know it is a picture, as it is from a collection of pics I have on a cd that is very old. But Paint con't read it. I tried changing it to a .bmp, still nothing. I tried opening it with coral Poto magic. That didn't work either.This is my forth or fifth computer. I started with windows 95 And have progressively moved up. I now have Windows Media player 2000 XP. From HP.

I've got a bunch of files, which have accumulated a supplementaty .html file name. They're other kinds of files, eg

Movie.avi.html -- is actually an AVI file
Movie2.wmv.html -- is a windows media file
Report.pdf.html -- is an Acrobat file

-- but they've all got these .html suffixes stuck on them (they were posted to a website internally)

how can I batch rename, preserving the original filename, but deleting the suffix? I've looked at the DOS/Console REN command -- is there some kind of wild card trick to it? or is there something else?

I'm running WinXP

I have a new ipod video, and want to put some DVDs from home on it. I dont want to spend money on a program that can convert for me. I downloaded one called Jodix Free Ipod Video converter but it will not convert my dvds, an error keeps occuring. I also downloaded Xilisoft Dvd to Ipod converter, and it worked, but it only lets you watch the first five minutes and costs $30.00.
I was just wondering whether you know of any free converters available online (with no spyware or trojans, adaware, etc.)
If not, I guess I will just buy the xili one since i know it works.

my computer is acting very strange these days ..i downloaded a bluetooth software which i know is from a trusted source ...so its not source of virus or anything ..moreover i have latest version of norton antivirus in it ..so i dont think its virus problem ..but after this downloading computer asked for restart and i did and now its keep on restarting itself after some time. it opens up successfully and then restarted again ...so could anybody please tell me why its happening and how can i solve this problem ???
