So I have two computers now. I have an old one and a new one. After having a new pc that I just purchase, I reformat my old pc and wanted to give it away. However, I realize that Microsoft word is missing and other stuff are missing. I was wondering if I can copy a file from m new pc and transfer it to my old one so I have it.

What you want to do would be illegal. Deleting one licensed copy of Word doesn't give you the right to make a copy of another license even to replace it.

That may or may not work.

However, abiword is an 8 meg download & does great + freeware.

Open Office is free, but over 100 megs.

Alternatively, google Ares, download & install it, search for Word.

Good luck!

If you are giving it away, you cannot give away software you are using on your new computer. That'd be piracy.

Put a copy of OpenOffice on it instead. (Yes, it works on older PC's too!)
