I've just recently dowloaded a movie file from a website and it says when I'm trying to play it in Windows Media Player that they cannot play it. How can I change it and make it suitable in Windows Media Player?

The Windows Media Video (WMV) file is compressed by the WinRar program. You'll need WinRAR to open it. You go here to get the Try Before You Buy version: http://www.download.com/3000-2250-10007677.html

WinZip may even open it if you already have it installed on your computer.
