In what folder should I put fonts when I download them?

Any where, but you need to "install" them by going to Control Panel / Fonts / Install Font, then point at where you downloaded them to.

Oh i do this all the time, i have so many custom fonts. You want to open up the folder and extract all the files. Once in that new window with the extracted files, click on the file that s the actual text, and move it to your Fonts folder in this location:

C:/WINDOWS/Fonts

Once in there, you can open it up liek normal, even use it in an instant messager! But for the person on the other end to see the text, they also need to have that text downloaded to their computer. But no worries if you're just usng the text for personal use like Microsoft Word. Also, a good download site is www.dafont.com they have tons of fonts to download!

I only know Microsoft Windows. The location is the fonts directory under where you have Windows installed (usually c:/windows)

you can make a new folder called "my fonts", what's what i did. you can put them in any folder.
