I desperately need to learn MS Excel, Access and Powerpoint. I've bought a book and tried to teach myself, but it didn't really work.

I'd like to attend a course where I'll have an instructor and stuff.

I did a little bit of research on line and the websites just showed me all these colleges.
I don't need any certifications or anything; I just need to know how to use these programs so that I can get a good job.

I live in Virginia. Can anybody tell me where to look?
Thanks!!

Please consider again some books. I found a set that are surprisingly good! Each is a one-to-two week course, in whatever-length-spurts you want, with a CD. The CD lesson moves a cursor across a mock-up screen then prompts you to do so, as well, so that you learn the steps in each operation. You can then review the lessons in the book.

I started with the one on Word.

The series is OReilly's Personal Trainer. Each has a "super hero" on the cover.

You won't become a Professor on Word. You won't learn to hack it, or nit-pick the internal files in its special system folders. You'll learn what you need to know, to become competent. That's what's important, que no?

Try your local community college. Most intro classes are super helpful.
