retrieve my norton security code to install it on my laptop? I put it on my desktop computer but can't find the code where I can put it on my laptop as well. is there any way I can retrieve my code from my desktop computer? Thanks.

If you have any registry knowledge you can retrieve the key by searching your registry. There are also a few apps out there that can list your installed programs aswell as giving the key used for installing the application.

@Buck S: Nortons is not a resource hog.. it just does its job far better than other apps out there. Also you might want to check into their new Norton 360 which isn't so hungry for resources as Symantecs previous Norton versions.

Don't think you can install a one-license CD on two computers. When you install and activate, Windows takes the product key and mixes it with information about your computer, and comes up with an "installation ID." When you attempt to install on a second computer, you will probably be told "you have exceeded the number of times you may install" or something like that. Been there. Done that.

i would remove Norton and use avg , Norton is too much of a resource hog and avg is free

if you downloaded the software you should have an email with the codes
