I am seeking a *free* system that I can use to edit my .jpg images. I simply intend to edit a few personal photos that I take..... nothing elaborate (but, if the mood strikes me, I might decide to do some extensive image-editing!)
Thanks for all references.
P.S. I use Win XP system.

One that does a fair job of image editing is Picasa2, free, from Google: it also does a surprisingly good slide show!

Another that does really hefty image editing, but has hard-to-find help files (documentation) is gimp.

has lots of filters, lighting effects, color options, borders, etc. Very good program for free.
