i want to put some movie clips in my computer

Most VCRs (and DVD players for that matter) will at least have composite video and one or two jacks for audio. (Often called simply A/V jacks.) Some may have S-Video too.

On the computer side what you'd want would be a video capture device. (aka video capture card)

(If you have a desktop and don't want to have to open it up, or if you have a laptop, select Advanced Search on the left and choose USB 2.0 for Interface and hit Search.)

I use a cable bundle I got from radio shack. It has 3 plugs: red, yellow and white. Then you need some kind of software to play it into.

If I remember correctly, you're going to need a VGA cable. But, I may be wrong, honestly...
