tried going into control panel sound/audio settings & upping the volume, putting it on to laptop mono speakers ... even did the hardware test & it worked ok - but still cant send sound via yahoo messenger - i can receive sound ok & can send video/image ok. Please help ASAP - Many Thanks!

I have Sonic Stage and even though I have unticked the box that says 'automatically rip CD', it still does it when I insert CDs. I want Windows MP to rip my CDs. How do I do this?

How can I change the icon permanently, so that if I bring the exe or folder on a usb stick to a different computer, it will not revert to the original icon? SO far the programs that I have found just display the icon on my home pc, not any other ones.

How can I change the frecuency AVG 7.5 updates it's virus definitions?
I mean, for example, to check for update every 3, 6 or 9 hours. Because I can't find that option in the program and it's very annoying having to wait for it to update each time Windows loads.

Is there any reason not to buy the student version of software if you are eligible? I can see it is alot less expensive but don't want to spend less money if the software itself is a limited version as I want to learn the full versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.

I had limewire but it gave my computer a virus and we had to get a new computer. I need something that I can download for free and get free music. I have i-tunes but it is messed up and won't let me buy songs. Any ideas on what I can download? people that say... that is illegal or say.. i have limewire and it doesn't give me a virus.. pleas just don't leave an answer.

i recently downloaded a file from a trusted site,which i thought would be ok to download,but it actually had a virus in its code
i am now very weary about downloading any file,what makes me even more concerned is that i scaned the computer with avg as avast crashed mid scan due to the infection,and after the scan it came back with no problems
2 minutes later my monitor went to sleep,and a restart was required,this was happening every few hours and as it wasnt hardware related it must of been the virus
should i still be concerned about downloading
note:the game i downloaded was "sonic riders"
