I just downloaded this cool movie and i played it with windows media player and it does not play the video(it played only sound)
it says ''ERROR DOWNLOADING CODEC''

my computer has about 500 megabytes of ram and about 70gig memory my connection speed is about 137kbps
please help me speed it up any software ,advice
i would at least like to be able to click on a video on youtube and just watch it while it loads without having to wait for it to load

I would prefer that it could burn in mp3, wma, and mp4 formats. I have Nero 7 already, but their database is pretty non-existent and it takes forever to create the disk. Windows Media Player is great, except that it won't burn to dvd's. Oh, and I don't want to spend a ton of money on the software with plugins, etc.

what kind of file is a wma file, music or video ? it won't play on anything i have. also i was downloading mp3 music aand it won.t open because it is not a quiktime. never had any problms before. help. thanks

my computer plays great movies the picture is very clear but i get no sound. even my windows media player will play the dvd but no sound. i can rip music to my computer and get sound i can download movies and music and it plays it just wont play from the dvd/cd drive what is wrong and what do i need to do??

I downloaded an anti-virus program but didn't have time to click on run and now have done a search for it but cannot find it. Does this mean it's not installed and i have to download it again ? I don't have a lot of computer knowledge. Thanks in advance

Whenever I want to backup 'My Documents' to my external hard drive by using the copy process, every so often the copy process is interrupted by a problem file - ii.e. a file that's open, or a file that has too many characters. I'd like it to just skip these files and continue with the copy process. Is there a way to get this to happen easily.?

why is everyone on this site bashing on vista so bad? i have been using vista since it first came out and it is great. it is way better than XP. yeah it has some quirks but its brand new it will take a minute for them to be worked out. you guys have to realise that XP was already out for 2 years at windows 2000 before they even released it. Vista is brand new technology. I Think all you people just bash on vista without knowing anything about it and the improvements. the wireless support is about 1000 times better and aero looks way better than anything on xp and especially on Mac OS! i dont even have that expensive of a machine and aero works great its only a 500 dollar dell. all you people who bash on vista need to take a training course or something to see the greatness and value of the new operating system!

I dont know what i did ok i think i know..this morning when i turned on my computer,my computer did some scan and deleted some files....i realized i didnt have no sound so i thought i could fix it and went into troubleshoot and after reading all that i went into my add/remove program thinking i could resolve it on my own i know i deleted something ac audio i believe and i am still trying to resolve this issue...i need my sound back...also i went into device manager and clicked plug and play which had a yellow exclamation on it and that was deleted pleaseeee help me with my sound

When I want to shut down my Windows XP computer, it says that it is installing 7 updates and to not press anything. The thing is that it does this everytime I shut it down and never actually finishes the updates so every time I shut it down it does this. I think they are Microsoft Office updates. How can I cancel or stop these updates?

I have mispelled words unpurpose and gone to "Edit", "Check Spelling", "In Comment and Form Fields" and it does not find them. Under "Edit", "Preferences" and "Spelling", I have it set to "Check spelling while typing - underline in red" but it is not doing that either. In that window I have "English" checked in the dictionary.. Thanks for any help you can give me to correct this...

One of my spreadsheet absolutely disappears when I click the restore buttom, and only becomes visible when I "maximize" it. Other spreadsheets seem to work normally.

Later, it becomes worse, only be visible when I click "view" -> "Full Screen".

How can I make this spreadsheet back to normal?

I understand that you can protect the "Div/0" from coming up by using an if statement like If (B3=0, " ",A3/B3), but I've already made a huge worksheet without that incorporated into it. Is there a way I can change the "Div/0"s to something else? To use the if statement would take hours to do, as I did not originally put that into place.
