I'm Using Knoppix Linux and i want to write partitions on my A Data 2 Gb flash drive so that i can have a live cd on that drive. It is in FAT 32 format and the CFDISK program wont let me write partitions because it says Fatal Error: Bad primary Partition 0. Partition Begins with end-of-disk. My ultimate goal is to have linux on a pendrive to boot to other computers and the instructions i got tell me to write partitions.

I have an image I scanned (a business card), and I would like to make the white background transparent. Can I do this once the image is scanned? How?

Alternatively, can I rescan the card where it will automatically create the background as transparent?

I was doing some re-writes on a story and somehow, the last 100 pages got deleted and the changes were saved. Now I'm left with a story that has the first 50 pages done and missing the last 100 pages. Can I somehow recover the pages lost? HELP! =)
P.S. At one time, I did save all 150 pages, so there might be a history of it being saved somewhere on my computer . . . woe is me =)

i borrowed a friends computer and when you would type in a address or go to a search when you hit the key such as for your first name it would bring up several option that had already been typed in from that computer how do i find this or what is the name of the program? im running windows millenium i believe, thanks rob

Created a MS Word doc, but cannot open the file, as I receive a error message that the application is not a valid win 32 . File exists in My Documents and Word Program, but the characters and words are zero in the properties of the file. Is there any file reader that can open the file ? I tried repair Office, reinstalling Office, and DO NOT WANT TO TOUCH the REGISTRY.

In my add /remove programs window, there are 4 entries for a program named Napster beta. When, I try to remove them, I get a pop up window telling me that the uninstall files cannot be located. I have searched through files until I am blue and cannot find them, to delete them.I am working with trying to delete things , to create space.

I have a Windows XP computer, and when I click on the start menu, the microsoft word icon is white, with a little window, with like 3 colors in it, and it wont open. So then I went to the program it self, and same little icon! All the other microsoft office things work (Powerpoint, excel, ect)

My uncle sent me a mp3 player from China that plays video, so i have to convert the video files to SMV format first.
I used SMV converter tool, but when i press convert, the following error message appears:

FAILED(hr=80040209) in m_pVideoGrabber->GetConnectedMediaType( &mt )

what happened? how can I fix this?

The file I was trying to convert is approx 20 minutes, but i also tried converting a smaller file and that didn't work.

The program has worked before. Am i missing a Codec or something?

Okay, im making a Naruto AMV and i want to add an icon, i guess thats what its called, from photobucket. I dont know if im going about this the right way, but how do i get the icon into my video?
