Windows 2000 does not have system restore.

You can't!

System Restore is only available on Windows ME and XP. If you want to back up all your stuff, try DriveImageXML (free).

We won't even talk about Vista just yet! Hint, give Vista 6 months to fix all the bugs.

I don't remember 2k having that. Right click on my computer and go to properties, there is a system restore tab... if it has it.

System restore is a waste of time, I've never had a positive experience with it.

try doing it in safemode, or right click on your drive, properties and turn on system restore for your pc.
