It might be that you can't download anything period. You might want to try using a download manager such as Download Accelerator Plus and see if that helps.

This problem may be more than just you. Ask if there are any bugs in their system, glitches, errors, etc.

Three of my friends had Limewire, all of them got a virus from it; so did I.

Can't download or can't install. My first question is, are you using any version of McAfee because if you are, that could be your ill right there. I've heard that when using McAfee under Vista, getting Limewire to work (or even download) can be nearly impossible, even if you change all the correct settings.
If you aren't using McAfee then it may be possible that Limewire just isn't compatible with Vista.
