i use winaso registry optimizer but it isnt free http://winaso.com/
the trial only cleans 10 entries at once

a good free choice i hear is TweakNow RegCleaner

it is best to avoid it if not an IT pro. side effects will appear though not instant, but will damage program entrys and as a result applications will have great difficulty in communicating with the registry. so my advise is not to use such app that clean registry...

No, because it's brain surgery on your computer. For those of us who aren't registry experts, it's probably a good idea to avoid it. For example, you won't understand the entries once you get there, so how would you know which entries to clean off.

Very good e sample is Registry mechanic but isn't free.Free and very good is Regseeker but must be carefully to not cancell good files.Maybe it is for advanced users.
