If your computer crashed or was turned off suddenly, there should be a recovery file. The file would be evident when you opened Microsoft Word. If you just quit the program without saving, then I don't think there is a recovery file.

Microsoft Word automatically creates a Recovery file at a set interval. The default location for these files is C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\ Usually if you have exited Microsoft Word it deletes these Autosave files, but they might still be there.

Hi. Do you mean NEVER saved, or saved an older version then deleted. If you never saved it then it was never written to the drive unless it was quite long. Then auto-save may have stored a chunk. I thing there are gone if you do not save at some point. Try a ' File Recovery ' program anyway. Such as http://officerecovery.com/freeundelete/

If you mean you never saved them to a file, they are gone. While you are working, you are in memory. Your work is not saved until you save to a file and name it.
If these were named files and you deleted them, you can try opening the Recycle Bin and look for the "Unerase Wizard." They just might still be there.

yes there is, click the start button, go to accessories then over to system tools, then system restore, once there it will say restore system to an earlier date or time, click yes or next. for instance if you deleted something today then turn the system back 3 days and it will restore any and all programs that were on there. let me know if this helps. ayleiah@yahoo.com
