I had limewire but it gave my computer a virus and we had to get a new computer. I need something that I can download for free and get free music. I have i-tunes but it is messed up and won't let me buy songs. Any ideas on what I can download? people that say... that is illegal or say.. i have limewire and it doesn't give me a virus.. pleas just don't leave an answer.

Try SoulSeek, its a program which allows you to download music (or any other files) from users (you have to first choose the user to download from) therefor the chance to get a virus from Soulseek is almost 0%.
I hope i didn't make Soulseek sound like a difficult program to work with. (its easy)

Seems like you didn't have an anti-virus software on your PC. Even if you find some other site to download music, you still have to be cautious of getting a virus. There are NO safe downloading sites on the internet and if someone tells you any different, they're not telling you the truth.

no downloading is gonna be safe over the net, but i would recommend torrents way before bearshare or limewire or soulseek, always scan with an anti virus program before opening file, if you dont have anti virus you'll also get that on torrents, isohunt.com, minova.org and ilovetorrents.com are the site to check out, and always read the FAQ of each site oh and remember its illegal,

Use Limewire to get music but have an anti-virus program installed stick to Mp3's they can't carry viruses don't download programs/games that's how you get caught you can get a good free anti-virus program called AVG here

It's got to be torrents. Limewire's no good for anything.
If you go to piratebay.org, and try and download something, it will tell you what to do. Simply. That's what I did, anyway. Download from anywhere then.

Please Un-install Limewire and use "Bitcomet" instead and scan with AVG before you open any torrents before you open them.
