I need to open a microsoft works text document, but I need microsoft works installed in my computer...I only have microsoft word (professional) at homedoes anyone know where i can download it for free...or how i can open this file??? I need help!!! Thanks

I've opened the file but it only gives me symbols, and ive gone to the works site but its $99 to download the software :(

it will convert works to word 2002

MS Word can open works files

I have no idea if this will work, try chaning the font in the document (select it all and change font). Word may not recognize the font from works.
Worth a shot.

Try OpenOffice. It can be downloaded free from http://www.openoffice.org/ and may be able to open the file for you.
