There is a Webcast from Microsoft site. I can watch it but I don't know how to save it to my Computer. When I click on it it automatically opens the WMP.

Most programs are installed under C and now its getting crowded, I already removed a few useless programs but how do I leave more space for updating windows? Can I reinstall certain programs under d? Cos the default one is usually c:/program files

I had a problem with IE7 and checked it out on here. So everyone's saying Mozilla is so much better, so I downloaded it. I don't see any advantage to it. Why is it supposed to be better?

okay, I am getting a laptop tomorrow and I have it narrowed down to two, identical except one have vista business and one has vista premium. I can get the one with business tomorrow at the store, but the one with premium is only available online at the moment. HP dv2220 vs. the HP dv2221. from what I see in teh additional multimedia software that comes on both computers I think that most of the things like photo and music stuff are provided with hp and 3rd party software bundled on the computers. I am not using it for business, but the security features sound apealing that come with business...however will I miss an premium features? like media center. etc. or will teh other bundled software make up for it. please help. thanks =)

Okay, at the Middle School I volunteer at the students are doing a history project by playing Oregon Trail 5. However, the computers in the lab are not loading the game. We have a program called "GoBack" installed to protect the computers from the students. Every day after shutdown, it restores the computer to it's previous state. We removed this program, installed OT5, and reinstalled GoBack, but when you start the game the computer crashes. How can we fix this?

I have searched google, but come up with nothing. I found things that will convert digital handwritten notes into type, but I want to convert notes in pen/pencil, scan them and have them appear as type. Is this even possible? If it is, does anyone know of any free software that can do this?

I got a new desktop for Christmas this year, and the box had a large sticker on it, stating that the computer was eligible for a free upgrade to Windows Vista. Was there a paper in the box containing this info? If there was, I can probably find it, but is there any way I can get the upgrade without going through the process of cleaning my room to find the paper?

Window's XP, Ive been having Norton for quite some time and been happy with it. Recently, Ive ran to some problem with virus, ad ware,....so Ive added AVAST ANTI VIRUS. I'm not too sure if Ive done wise thing. PLEASE inform me if it is OK to have two AV or what ever you guys suggest. THANKS for all your inputs in advance.

ADD: every time i re-scan after Norton is done, with Windows live onecare safty scanner, it shows more infected area than Norton did, what you guys think about that? does NOR sucks!!!!!

I'm getting an iass.exe error when starting up my laptop. I have some very important files on the laptop(I forgot to back them up) and I'm thinking running repair would fix the iass.exe problem but I'm wondering if it erases the data on the hard drive?

I bought the Halo- Combat Evolved Game for PC. I have a good graphics card, the ATI X1300 512MB PCIXx16. Since my card is made by a third party company, Visiontek, most games recognize this card as an older, not as powerful graphics card; however, it still performs very well with a game, even when the games says the card is bad.

The game of Halo detected my graphics card as a bad quality card. It told me to run the game in safemode, so I did for the first try, but I accidentally clicked on the never show this message again tab. Now my graphics settings are deadlocked at the lowest settings. I need to know how to fix this. I have tried just upping the settings in the menu, but it doesn't change gameplay or the menu graphics.

I can't uninstall the game, because the version I have is a downloaded version from BitTorrent. How can I fix this problem?

I know that it sounds funny but I thought I might see, heck you never know anymore. I record my class notes and I think it would be cook if I could transfer it to text without having to type it. Do you know of anything like this?

I just renamed a folder...now it seems that every song i click i need to reload it - even though it's in the same spot it always has been - just the folder has a different name - i have over 2400 songs...is there anything i can do?
