use disk clean up, delete all temporary files, emty the recycle bin. uninstall program the you rarely use and if you want to install it it in your other hard drive just change the location of the drive and the folder in which you want to install the program. you can find that in the process of installing the program, but sometimes you need to choose custom install for you to have access on the location where the program should be installed.
note: dont just choose the drive where you want to install the program you should also need to choose or make a folder for that or else it will be installed on the drive and not in the folder.

ya you can reinstall some of the programs to D:

and no need to stick to the default path.

Also you can try to remove some of the temp internet files and other files using the clean wizard.

Darlin'
If you are this close to filling C
all the defragments and cleanups and etc etc in the world is not going to ease your situation---- time to invest in another hard drive-- they are simply not that expensive--- they immediately ease the space issue and give you an entirely new lease on options and a fresh start at any direction you want to go !!

Try the line from Seagate--- they are powerful---compatible --- and very affordable !!!

Do you have 2 hard drives? Always install games and software on other drive/drives. Keep c drive for windows operations.

it sounds like you already know how do add/remove programs. you should do a disk defragment.
start>accessories>system tools>disk defragment.
i'd explain what it does but that wouldn't help you any more than just doing it.
