Why aren't windows appearing on my taskbar??

Every window I open, it won't appear on the taskbar. It's there but it just won't show, and once i minimize it, it disappears. How do I get it back?

I have windows xp - sp2 that is. It was comeing just a week ago, but it's not anymore. Yes, I tried the link, but it doesn't tell what to do when windows aren't coming. Thanks anyways.
