Okay, at the Middle School I volunteer at the students are doing a history project by playing Oregon Trail 5. However, the computers in the lab are not loading the game. We have a program called "GoBack" installed to protect the computers from the students. Every day after shutdown, it restores the computer to it's previous state. We removed this program, installed OT5, and reinstalled GoBack, but when you start the game the computer crashes. How can we fix this?

Can you provide some additional information as to how the computer crashes? And have you tried taking one machine that normally crashes > uninstall goback > install Oregon Trail > do NOT load goback. If the program still crashes, then the problem is not goback, but some other problem with the PCs.

If the problem is with Oregon Trail, check the requirements for this version of the game - they should be listed on either the software box or sometimes on the game CD. If all else fails, try contacting the Learning Company website for the Oregon Trail, 5th edition (school edition) here:http://support.riverdeep.net/faq_list.asp?id=1294820236
You can find support for other versions of the 5th edition from the same site.

If you problem is goback, check out the tech support information on the Symantec website at http://www.goback.com/.
