I had DVD xcopy, but it doesn't seem to work anymore with DVD's. I have kids and I want to back up movies I buy before they get too scratched up.

Example: I want to sort an Excel database so that all all records containing a Yahoo e-mail address are grouped together. Example: *@yahoo.com. The Excel file contains thousands of records. One column contains e-mail addresses. Can anyone direct me to a add-on or command that can do this?

if anyone is using nero for burning or whatever or anyone else that knows how to fix the problem im having it will be greatly appreciated so my question is Im using nero and the thing that lets u convert your audio cds to audio files well it worked fine like awhile then when i do it again and convert this one cd i have it gives me the Nero error message saying Nero has encountered and error and needs to close anyways does anyone know how to fix this?

All of the new computers that are out now come with the new Windows Vista operating system installed on it. I'm not ready to upgrade to Windows Vista yet, and I'm ready to purchase a new computer.

How do I switch from Windows Vista to Windows XP without deleting any of the programs that came installed on the new computer?

Ok I bought a computer(built) from a private party. It had a trial version of XP Home with Vista. My trial time ran out and I tried to put on XP Pro that I bought from another private party.

The XP Pro was in the shrink wrap and everything about says it is legit.(If not, it's a hell of a good job). Well I tried to load it and everything seemed to be working right. At the end it tells me it did not load correctly. I try again to no avail. I give it all to a friend much smarter in computers than I. He finds one of the memory sticks went bad and something about "final install was probably effected by bad memory..."

Pulling the stick he has tried to load the XP Pro. When it asks for the Product key (25 digits), the one that came with the package says, Invalid???

Did I get screwed here? Is there a way to verify the code I have with Microsoft? Is there a way to get that code off of the CD?

HEEEELLLLLLP. I'm computer moron so please help me the best you can.

I'd like to install Vista but keep XP for the programs that will not work with Vista currently. I don't know how reliable Vista will be for me either, so I don't want to get rid of XP in case Vista doesn't work out for me.

So yeah i have a dell its fairly new and to keep my roomate from viewing my pictures i saw that you can hide certain folders so i hid my pictures folder and now when i go to click my pictures there are no folders there.. does anyone know where in my computer "control panel"??? to get back my pictures im afraid there lost forever thanks!
