You really have to explan more than that, it may hve become corrupted, if so just reinstall it. Try dragging what you want to burn to cd to your d-drive, , aka cd drive, you can find it in "the my computer menu", select write to cd, and it should pull up the media player menu

More information would help. Details about types of files, what error message you get, which version of WMP, any hardware or software changes you've made etc.
One possibility - if you've recently upgraded to Windows Media Player 11 and are trying to burn pirated (illegally downloaded) files, WMP has built in security that will refuse to burn them unless you have a license for the file. In that case, all you can do is purchase a legal copy of the music and try with that.

It looks like you don't have the CD writer drivers installed since Windows Media is just a front end application which gives you an interface but the engine is the drivers you should have on your machine like ROXIO, NERO etc.
Go to www.oldversion.com and download NERO for FREE.

do you have the stuff to install it again? well if you do i would uninstall it and reinstall it and if that don't work its probaly ur 'pooter, or the disk is all scratched, or if it is store bought your CD harddrive wont accept it because of an Anti-Piracy label.......if you have a hardrive made for it it should do it........ hope i helped.

download nero smart start it much better and it enables you to print playlists covers and disk fronts
