I had DVD xcopy, but it doesn't seem to work anymore with DVD's. I have kids and I want to back up movies I buy before they get too scratched up.

DVD shrink is great for backing up copies of DVD's. I don't have kids but I have friends I loan DVD's to and they have the IQ of small children, so they frequently come back scratched and unplayable. DVD shrink isn't updated anymore so new movies don't work with it as well. Your best bet is to download DVDFab Decrypter, run your disk through that first and save it to your hard drive, and then shrink the files with DVD Shrink and burn it to a 4.7 gig disk. Both those programs are freeware so you shouldn't have a problem.
