I would like to look at the contents of .pub files, but don't have Publisher. Most formats can be imported into Word, but not this. Are there any shareware file converters that can handle .pub, or something like the Word reader software that can open but not modify files?

I installed Directx 9 and then Installed COD2, when installation is complete, I insert the disk and autorun brings up the actievex window, starting up game boot. an error message subsequently pops up claiming an irrepairable error occured in directx and clickig on "ok" automatically routed me to a web page troubleshooter. after exhausting all windows, directx, and intel (my video card driver) troubleshooting options with no different outcomes I would like to know how I can play my new game... please help

bought a computer (in the philippines) with windows software already installed but now when i turn on the computer or just randomly it will tell me this sortware is not genuine and i am no longer elegible for security updates from microsoft. it advises to click to resolve the problem which sends you to microsoft to test if it is genuine. i not want to try in case wrecks my computer.i think it probably is not genuine anyway. any advice

I bought Vista Ultimate (32 bit) from a mail order company and installed it over my XP version. Everyhting seemed ok and I was receiving updates but then I came to log on and I got a windows need to be activated screen, I put my product key in again but it said it was not valid. I tried to boot from the Vista disk and all I get is a blue background with a mouse pointe, why???? Can anyone help? If I have been the victim of piracy is it possible to get back to my old version of XP or at least log on and rescue my files and go on the net to try and sort this out? PLEASE HELP!!!

I know I could activate windows by paying for a valid product ID but I think that is unfair seeing as though I have already paid £100 for the software, I tried ringing up the company but guess what they have vanished into thin air!!

I have data that has already been created, and can be exported into Excel for sorting. The data in the cells is in this form: Blue Widget 1, Blue Widget 2, Blue Widget 3 and so on up to 300. (The spreadsheet lists many, many different types of items, all numbered.) Excel sorts alphabeticaly so it puts them in the following order 1, 10, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 11, 110 etc. I understand that if the data had been created with leading zeros it would sort properly, but that is not the case. Can anyone help please?

I need your expertise.

Computer: Intel (R) Pentium (R) M processor 1.50GHz 599MHz, and 768 MB of RAM.

Here's the problem. Every time I am in IE v6 and I click on an item too quickly, it seems like it is too much for the PC and it just crashes.

I then click on "Ctrl-Alt-Del", and the windows task manager pops up. Then, I have to click on "End Task" on the non-responsive IE.

How can I remedy this?

Please help!

PS. I have upgraded to IE v7 and had the same issues. I reverted back to IE v6.

I have tried drawing a climograph in Excel, but the dotted lines are precipitation and the bars are temperature. I want to reverse that. (Make the dotted lines temperature and the bars precipitation). I have delved into all the tools in Excel 2003, but they do not offer any help. I also tried rearranging my data, but also, it made the whole graph worse. (Jumbled up the precipitation with temperature). How can I solve this?

I had the 7.1 free which expired and have been trying to download this newer version since. I've tried everything from saving new version to desktop first.... To downloading straight from the "IMPORTANT NOTICE" on expiration warning... To downloading from 'Download.com'... I cant even uninstall the origional version! Every time ends in error which states........... Local machine: installation failed

hello, I'm trying to find a utility that will password lock, protect, or encrypt a single file. but the utility must be portable, as in i need to be able to password-lock a file, transfer it to an SD card or flash drive, transport it to another computer and open it WITHOUT the password protection software. any ideas? thanks for the help

I had to make a video for this Presentation that I'm Doing and I was wondering if anyone knew how i could burn it to a disk or something. Also what is the best type of disk to use. I have a public folder [shared with different users] but I need to archive such public folder. When I try the normal archive procedure in my Microsoft Outlook I am always given the error "The Selected Folder cannot be archived". Is there a reason why we cannot archive such folder. I need these emails to be archived since its taking a lot of space on my server.

I looked for the uninstallation file, with out sucess, then I tried with CCleaner and it wouldn't work, then I tried with EasyCleaner and it said that it removed it but there it is on my desktop still functioning and not going away.
