I install AVG 7.5 to several pc's in our office. Mostly work well, but some did not work. One thing I notice is... when a pc is in NTFS file system, it works, while if a pc is in a FAT32 file system problems appear.
So check it out if your pc is in NTFS by clicking my computer and see in your left panel DETAILS, the file system of drive C

I'm having the same problem, and none of the previous answers is a fix. I saw some advice on an avg forum, about cleaning up my files and doing a ckdisk, followed it, but still no luck. I can't install the upgrade and I can't uninstall the old version.

Very frustrating.

I have no difficulty in installing the file, but my pc lags so I uninstall it. I still like the old version.

I'd first try to uninstall from the control panel. If that doesn't work, just install the latest. Get if from http://free.grisoft.com and do a "repair" during installation, if it asks.
