This is for a possible new job. Should I go to a skills lab at a local school (also free), get a tutorial CD's from library and/or get Dummies books? Are the books worth it for these programs?

Can I copy a folder and its entire internal structure i.e. the subdirectories without actually copying files present in the folders and the subfolders. Is there a freeware software available for this purpose.

Would it be possible to run Windows Vista's "Windows Mail" on Windows XP? I zipped up the Windows Mail folder using WinZip from a Vista computer and unzipped them to an XP computer. Whenever I try to run "winmail.exe", it pops up an error that says it is not a valid Win32 application.

I downloaded a 4GB movie file.. piture is perfect, but there is an issue in the sound... The backgrond sound is perfect, crystal clear, but i can barely hear the dialog... is there anyway i can get this fixed? i use the div x player for it coz its an avi. file... i have never had this issue before, i regularly download movies... Thanks...

I deleted a program called "Microsoft ActiveSync" from my system yesterday, as it came with a PDA I recently sold on ebay, therefore I no longer required it. However, whenever I start up Internet Explorer, it comes up with a box saying "Please wait while Microsoft Office configures Outlook 2002...", also which I don't require. I have to press "cancel" many times before it goes, and it keeps popping up every time a new internet window/pop-up opens. How do I prevent this from happening?

How can i start a page number in a document that isnt from the first page. I insert a page number into the footer and it automatically starts on the first page which is not what i need.

I have tried using page breaks but cant get them to work, not sure whether im doin it right, but i insert a continuous or new page, page break and every time i insert my page number it starts on page 1.

Anyone know how to do it???

I'm trying to install Premiere onto my PC and I come across a field where I have to type in the serial number. I have the 17 alphanumeric digits but it won't accept it?

It has 6 fields with space for 4 digits in each field. What am I doing wrong? Are there only meant to be 17 digits in the serial number?

so i bought this new digital camera...and its great, except i can't load them to my computer because when i put in the disc to load the program thing it came with it tells me that i need microsoft 2000 or higher, but i don't have the money to pay for it, and im not even sure that my computer is updated enough to hold that...so is there any other way to load them to my computer without haveing microsoft? or is there anyway i get microsoft for free? do i need a different camera that dosent require such advanced stuff? dose it matter what kind of camera it is? mine is a Kodak easy share c743...just FYI....

I downloaded a trial program from download.com and the trial time is over so I deleted it but it's still coming up with the notice 'Your trial time has finished, either purchase or delete all files of MSN content plus'. Anyway, I think I've located the file that is causing it but it won't let me delete because it says it's being used by another program. Not even system restore works. Help!!! It's driving me nuts!!!

Okay so everytime I put something in the Address bar.. for example.. I'll put in "Box", Comcast looks it up for me but I don't want Comcast to look it up. Because everytime it does, it says nothing's available and it pisses me off -_- so.. Does anyone know how to make something else your search engine?
