Extension: FLV
Flash Video File Macromedia, Inc.
Among other uses, if you obtain a video from YouTube it will likely have the .FLV file extension and be a Flash Video File.

There are lots of free software that can be used to open .flv files. I recommend the VLC player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) because it has lots of options and can play many other media files, too. Also, there is FLV Player (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/WEB-Design/Flash/FLV-Player.shtml).

When the built-in media player doesn't work, use VLC.
You can get it for free here: http://j.mp/1v82ApP
It's my favourite media player and I highly recommend it over any other audio/video player.
VLC (video lan connect) is a great open source software to play any types of video files. VLC has a built in dvd decodere and works with many different video and audio formats including OGG, MP2, MP3, MP4, DivX, HD codecs like AES3, Raw Dirac.

You may try this .Its free
FLV Player is a standalone application to play Flash .flv files with. This utility can come in handy when viewing many FLV files, as it doesn't require the Flash IDE.
