Would it be possible to run Windows Vista's "Windows Mail" on Windows XP? I zipped up the Windows Mail folder using WinZip from a Vista computer and unzipped them to an XP computer. Whenever I try to run "winmail.exe", it pops up an error that says it is not a valid Win32 application.

The Vista install was a 32 bit install. Perhaps I need the registry settings.

It's a bit obvious why it won't work, isn't it? It's not possible, why can't people like you realise that something created specifically for Vista will not work on XP and lower OS's.

Well, there are a few problems with what you are trying to do.

1) You have to register the application in XP.
2) Copying the application files does not mean you have all of the DLLs that it would take to run it.
3) You may have downloaded a 64-bit app. That's not going to work in a 32-bit operating system.

Good luck with that.
