I'm using Windows XP Pro SP1, and I can't find Windows "Live" Messenger! I only found Windows Messenger without Live. How to fix this, and can Windows Messenger be used to connect to Yahoo! IDs?

Windows Live Messenger is not installed by default. Download it from http://get.live.com/messenger/overview (the official Microsoft Live! website).

With Windows Live Messenger, you can also connect to Yahoo! IDs and chat with your friends on the Yahoo! Messenger network.

First, you don't need SP2 to run Windows Live Messenger as I am currently dual booting Windows XP Pro and Windows ME and am using Live on both. Windows Messenger can't be used to connect Yahoo contacts but Live can. Google Windows Live Messenger to download it if you haven't already done so.

i prefer to apply gtalk. that is trouble-free, and also you'll incorperate your yahoo, target, and msn friends all into the gtalk. that is handed trillian in stability and ease. it doesnt get overly gaudy with ineffective smilies and emoticons. that is uncomplicated and stylish.
