I downloaded a trial program from download.com and the trial time is over so I deleted it but it's still coming up with the notice 'Your trial time has finished, either purchase or delete all files of MSN content plus'. Anyway, I think I've located the file that is causing it but it won't let me delete because it says it's being used by another program. Not even system restore works. Help!!! It's driving me nuts!!!

You must ust the apps uninstall program accessed either from the start menu or from the add/remove programs applet in the control panel... in the list, find the trial software that has expired and uninstall it... if this doesn't work, then you need a registry cleaner and i recommend Registry Mechanic... trial is limited, but it woks awesome like

If it keeps coming up after deleting it in Safe Mode, it's malware, and you'll need to run something like Spyware Doctor to kill it. If it still comes up after running Norton anti virus etc., you'll have to delete the registry entry. Try running TweakNow RegCleaner Pro trial version. There's a free version as well.

Yes, that's the best thing to delete these programs and do not install such programs.

Now check your system whether it is working properly or not, if not install dll files which have been deleted by default by the said program.

Did you uninstall it and not just delete.. cuz its still in your comptuer if you just deleted it. if you need to, reinstall it and then uninstall it usually that works. if not you can try to go into My Computer, C Drive, Program file, delete the whole file of the program

I use Wholockme to delete files that give you that error. You can download it at http://www.dr-hoiby.com/WhoLockMe/index.php Just install the software, right click on the file, then choose Wholockme.
