with stupid, non urgent messages like "this upgrade needs a restart to be activated, do you want to restart now?" or "do you want to establish a connection to the internet?". I know this full well, and if I want the change to wait till my next session, or to work offline, I know what I'm doing...

But the damn thing keeps coming on, and on, and on... and interrupting my work by reducing my work window and sending the stupid popup... and it's prone to causing mismanipulations on my part and to cause loss of material I've been working on.

So how do I tell the f*ing program to go take a flying hump at a 747 and not to bother me again with that?

i need to send this album from my old computer to my new one. so i sent it to myslef through email, open the files and and get a error that says it cant play this because it was ripped from another computer and it has limits or something. so i went to download the plug in and it said i didnt have the whole plug in thing. so where do i download that? oh yeah i have windows media player 10

more of a frankinstein
pc (odds and sods put together)
i also purchased for £70.oop
windows home xp2(genuine disc)
it said on the box only to be sold with a
new pc,well i recently re-installed the os
or disc from scratch,and everything is working
and seems fine,but i recently discovered that the
"full version of xp2 home" is more nearer £200,00p
what have i got then ,am i half installed or something?

on my pc from the authentic m.soft disc
my computer was at a point of no return
through installing and uninstalling
free software and visiting (dodgy)games/music
and naughty lady sites(educational purposes only)
i downloaded avg free trial for 1
month before re-installing xp
i re visited and re-installed avg
thinking that it would start from where i left off
about 2 weeks into the 1 month trial (malware edition)
but i got a fresh install or trial
1month from that date
was that supposed to happen or did i get lucky.

Over a period of time i have made excellent restore points on my system restore and made sure I had them if I needed them.The other day I went to restore and it was only this month with two or three dates..The only thing I did was downlown I E 7 and thats it.. What could cause all my restore cabs to be gone?The system restore has been on and all is well no viruses or anything. So what happen?

Finally, after a few years of tweaking, I have my computer working great with XP Pro....why on earth would I want to ruin it all by getting VISTA...which by my understanding would be incompatible with my current system anyway. Plus, all the software I have would probably be incompatible!!!! I already have IE7 and had to tweak that too.....GIVE ME 5 reasons why I should upgrade?

I am looking to manage a big mailing list - I was originally going to do it in microsoft excel but I cant find a good way to compare the lists and find the results that I havent sent to .. Is Microsoft access the only way to do it easily? I have found that excel will find duplicates but i actually need more intricate results

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Hi my computer just started getting really really slow and i mean really slow because usually it just gets slow but now it so slow. I bought a comp 2 months ago for 2000$ with 2gb ram 160 gb hard drive, intel core 2 duo processor 2.13 ghz and now its very slow for some reason. When i click anything that makes a sound it echoes for some reason... i dont think its my sound or my video card because they are the newest ones with geforce 7800. Please help why does the sound echoe? could it be my bitcomet? and also when i start windows you know the starting screen where windows is loading it talkes at least 10 min to load

This is the error message I get:
Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.

All my files are still on my hard drive, but all my defaults that I set are gone.

How do I fix this?

The pdf converter I have doesn't read ncd-files.
