I recently turned off my computer manually while it was shutting down, now my personal Windows are gone?!?

This is the error message I get:
Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.

All my files are still on my hard drive, but all my defaults that I set are gone.

How do I fix this?

Go to START, then PROGRAMS, then ACCESORIES, then
to SYSTEM then to SYSTEM RESTORE. Click on that.

You restore your computer to an earlier date. Pick one on that calender there. There are usually 2 available like a couple days ago or more. Restore your system to an earlier date.
