peer-to-peer file sharing works on the _availability_ of the file, which is the number of "peers"(which means basically the users of the program , e.g. their computer) that have the file.

the term "Need more sources" means that there is no peer that you're connected to - that has the file, thus you need more peer sources

"Queued" means you have other files on priority to download, and those come before your other queued ones.
Not all peers have these files, and the p2p program limits the number of connections so your connection remains stable

Where it downloads very fast, means that there is a high number of peers who are actively uploading the file to you
Where it STOPS entirely, or is very slow, means there is very little peers who are actively uploading the file.

google limewire it's p2p file sharing. Bascaily, a folder on your desktop is for sharing, and files in this folder can be accessed by other computers. Software like limewire connects your pc to other pc computers, hence peer to peer file sharing. It works with any digital file, mp3, music, software, movies, pictures,,,,on and on. see limewire on technical details.
