I'm going to be buying a new PC shortly and I'm wondering if the new Vista OS will be the best option? What's the difference between the Basic and the Premium versions. Is it way different from Windows XP??? Any info would be appreciated! :)

I have a PDF document that contains multiple pages. I need to convert each page to a JPEG file. PDFCreator can do this, but only supports a single page. :-(

There are more than 400 pages to this document so it is not possible to take screenshots or print each page individually manually.

Thank you for your help.

Currently, I use the "PGP Shredder" utility that is part of PGP Pro Encryption software. I no longer have the need for the encryption software and do not intend to renew my subscription. I would like to keep the file shredder utility, but it is not available as a standalone product. The PGP software places a "PGP Shredder" icon on my desktop that allows me to drag and drop files to it from any source. It also allows me to specify the number of times a file is overwritten. I use it frequently and have never had any problem whatsoever. I am looking for a reliable utility to replace it. I am not looking for a file shredding utility that comes as part of a suite of security utilities. I have looked in all of the usual places (c-net etc.) and cannot find a standalone utility with favorable reviews. Free would be nice, but I am willing to pay for a quality product. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Hey!

I have an external hardrive (160gb) and I want to backup my full computer hardrive to it just incase.

That includes, installed programs.. Documents... Settings.. Favourites.. Desktop stuff and stuff.

So it would be like a file 40gb big and I could just open it and it would be like there was never a problem with my computer.

Is there something that can do this?
Many thanks,
- Mike

I took an educated guess thinking that one of the standard settings of 640 x 480 on a digital camera translated to a 6 x 4 (4 x 6) in. photo. I found out that isn't true. I measured it out after printing one and it came out to be closer to 6.4 x 4.8 in. which makes sense if 1 pixel = .01 in. So, first, why isn't there a setting for standard photo sizes like instead of 640 x 480 using 600 x 400? Also, do I have to consider the dots per inch (dpi) when finally printing the photo? I know 96 dpi is a setting I see over and over. Does this work into a calculation when resizing a photo to print out to an exact size?

I can not go into office outlook because the computer asks me to installed a SR-2 disk. so I need to find a attachment that I know I had in office outlook when it was working. I am trying to get that attachment by just going in to the computer search but it does not show any files regarding outlook.
