Everytime I try and open Microsoft Office 2003 in 2007 I get a bunch of little boxes. Nothinig I've tried so far seems to work.I'd appreciate a step by steop explanation if possible. Thanks in advance

Your Office 2003 files are corrupted or your Office 2007 installation is flawed.

I use 2007 to open older Word files ( 97, 2000 & 2003) all the time... no issues whatsoever.

Yes it can. But there will be some compatibility issues. What I would recommend is that save the 2007 file in 2003 format

i don't think MS Office 2007 support files built in MS Office 2003

It will be opened automatically...
Just open word 2007 and click File>Open and choose your path to open the document
It should be opened automatically
