Where do I go to change the number of items that pop up and are "running", ie; messenger, kodak, etc when I turn my computer on.

When I open MS off. 97 Excel link from a Desktop Shortcut I get:

Even though I have a 500KB/sec connection, whenever I download something, the speed starts at 500 kb/sec but immediately starts to decline, sometime reaching a paltry 3 kb/sec. Why is that?

I'm making a special Windows XP Professional installation disc that has service packs and other tweaks built in, and I'm trying to have it automatically copy a file to the C:\Windows\System directory from the installation CD when it boots up the first time. Does anyone know how I can do this?

I lost the software disk for my cybershot dsc-p200 and im looking to replace it. I run 98 and use a card reader the reader installed it self but doesnt appear as a drive Im pretty sure thats because a need a driver for the sony memory stick. Microsoft and sony have both been useless

I tried to install adobe flash player but it never works. it has the install box i press it then it says install or dont install so i click install but it still doesn't work ever and it isnt because of that yellow activex bar cause that never comes up so i don't know what to any suggestions?

I have Fujitsu Siemens laptop, I tried to install the latest Norton and the end of the installation it just got stuck- both Windows and Norton.. I am unsure which one it actually was. When I tried to re-start windows, it no longer worked, I tried many times. What is your advice in this, I am no expert in computers so your help would be appreciated.

Basically, I want to reformat my PC, I have a legit copy of XP, I have changed BIOS settings so that the CD boots up, but when prompted to boot from CD by pressing any key, nothing happens! My keyboard works fine, so that can't be the problem. I hit every key I can, but it still boots back into XP.

By the way, installing in Windows doesn't work as it says it cannot continue as I have a newer version installed.

Please help!

Does Microsoft Publisher work well? Like I said, it's just a simple website for a Bed & Breakfast, no fancy graphics or anything, possibly only 3 or 4 pages. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money or anything either, to purchase a program.
