I currently have WMP 9, after rolling back from WMP 11 which I hated with a passion. Now I have downloaded version 10 from the WMP website, but when I try to install it, it gives me an error message saying:
"This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more information, view the information at the Microsoft web site."
I have checked with their help section and did exactly what they said to do if you get this message, and I still can't install it. What do I do now?

I DO NOT want to install WMP 11 so please don' t suggest I do that.

I already defragmented and scanned for viruses and ran scan disk, and I cleared my registry, no spyware either all is clear, but my XP boots up too slowly.

I load a video, and I want to take the audio and make into an MP3. Audacity does it, but its all crackly. How do I fix the horrible feedback with Audicity? And, how do I cut Audio using VirtualDub?

Can't run games like MS Flight Simulator X or Medieval 2... get error D3DX9_30.dll is missing, and invalid version of Directx. I ran autoupdate on MS site, directX is current (9.0c). DXdiag shows no problems. When I try to reinstall get an 'internal error' and installation fails. Tried several releases inclucluding December and April. Running MS PRofessional X64.

I recently purchased a new MacBook after being a long time PC user. I have looked through most of the programs but didn't really see what I was looking for. I don't need anything as high tec as photoshop, just something similar to MS Paint.

Everytime I download Firefox 2.0, it lasts for about a day and then,
even though I still have the icon, I click to browse and nothing
happens. So, I download it again and so on and so on - every
night for the past 5 nights. I never had this problem with previous
Firefox versions. Any ideas, suggestions ?? Thanks!!

When you buy the Windows Vista OS, what is the difference between getting the package product and getting only the upgrade.

I don't understand why getting the package is more expensive than getting the upgrade...

Well I've got a 233 MHZ Bondi Blue iMac with Mac OS 8.6 on it but the system folder isn't really functioning anymore. I started it up on a brand spankin new Mac Os Disc and everytime it tells me to Install the newer Firmware which I try to and I get to the step of restarting. Then It will come up "Please Restart And Install Firmware on an Unlocked System Folder. Well What Can I do all the extensions on it were deleted and I need to fix it. So can I over ride the Firmware update or Figure out how to get OS 9.2.2 Installed ....

I'm trying to print on card stock that is 5.5" wide and 8.5 " tall, but none of the existing paper settings work. There are three custom documents set up, but they are not the right dimensions and I don't know how to change them. Help! :(

I have lots of batch files downloaded programs(example. Resource Hacker,Internet Explorer 7,Limewire Pro,WMP10,Ad-aware,Batch to exe converter.Lots of things like this I dont want to lose.Would saved .reg files still import on Vista.I have batch files to change and delete registry settings when reinstalling XP.
