Everytime I download Firefox 2.0, it lasts for about a day and then,
even though I still have the icon, I click to browse and nothing
happens. So, I download it again and so on and so on - every
night for the past 5 nights. I never had this problem with previous
Firefox versions. Any ideas, suggestions ?? Thanks!!

I experienced the same problem with Firefox 1.5. Try this, click Firefox. If it fails to start, press ctrl+alt+delete to open the task manager. Look to see if there is an entry "firefox.exe" in the task manager. If there is such an entry then end the process by highlighting it and click [end process]. Now, try again to open Firefox. See if this solves the problem. This is a rare problem which appeared in Firefox 1.5 which was supposedly fixed but still appears in Firefox 2.0.

Another possibility is that you have a corrupted Firefox profile. Even if you reinstall Firefox, it will still use the same profile which would explain why the problem doesn't correct itself after you have reinstall a fresh copy of Firefox. Try this, go to Start Menu > Run > enter "firefox.exe -p" (without the quotation marks) > [Enter] > click create new profile > emter a name > accept the default location > [Start]. Again, try to restart Firefox. With any luck, this should solve your problem. Good luck. --wy

I would say one of the two:
(1) either a virus of some sort - run a virus scan on you computer
(2) the folder where Firefox installs is corrupted (either logically or physically). Try installing to a different folder.

It is unheard of. Things does not work that way.
you'd better format your hard disk and reinstall windows to get rid of whatever the problem is.

Just a silly guess: Not enough space left on your hard-disc?
