you will have to try DVD-r or DVD+r and you need a software that will burn DVDs to play on your DVD player like sonic and even after that it still might not play if it's a older model.

You mean you're not able to burn....or you mean your burned discs aren't playing in your dvd player?

If you're using a dual format drive to burn I would suggest using dvd-R

If you're stuck using dvd+R you might want to set booktype to dvd-rom. It helps with compatibilty for older players.

I don't know what software you're using so I can't get into any real specifics.

Just check if your dvd burner suports - or + and buy the one that it supports and it doesent matter if it's recordable or not. Maybe you have to erase the dvd if you have used it before.

brands really don't make a big difference, i mean they may but they won't affect how they are burnt, try DVD+R and DVD-R, make sure you're using nero or some other burning software, good luck
