I load a video, and I want to take the audio and make into an MP3. Audacity does it, but its all crackly. How do I fix the horrible feedback with Audicity? And, how do I cut Audio using VirtualDub?

Nevermind, I figured out VirtualDub. It works about 100 times easier and faster...and better, then Audacity. So yeah, nevermind.

Glad you figured it out.
I was going to say the issue with Audacity may be related to the LAME encoder settings. Feedback would make me think your audio input is also taking the mic in.
Or you could have noise from the video channel if you're loading that directly. I've never tried loading a video file directly into Audacity.

when I first used my pastime carry close for the first time, on my previous computer, the audio sounded terrible. in effortless words some weeks later i purchased a clean computer, that is larger sturdy than my computer, and the audio worked outstanding. i'm not particular if that is also your elementary problem notwithstanding that is how I received mine to artwork, regardless of if i'm now not certain you should want to spend $seven hundred like me on a clean pc only for the roxio challenge grab.
