Once in awhile I do something wrong and hit something somewhere on the desktop and the computer proceeds to shut down and power down, and the monitor shuts off too.
Where is that setting. Windows98 on pc

if i do upgrade to windows vista and didnt like it, would i be able to bring my old windows XP Media Center Edition?

Im afraid that if it is not good as it sounds like, i wont be able to get my old OS back.

I am trying to upgrade from win98 to winMe but i keep getting an error message saying that windows me requires at least 32MB to install. I have tried to do the whole fdisk method but then i get an error which says no fixed disk files...i have a windows 98 boot floppy disk which i downloaded from the internet. I am unable to actually get into windows at all as i have accidentially delete some files that im assuming were needed to start windows. Can anyone help? Thanks!

ive recently purchased a new computer (end of dec 2006) and it offered a free upgrade to windows vista once it comes out.

ive read a few advantages and some back-drops but im not sure if i should upgrade my windows XP MCE to the new vista.

others say its an overall better user experience. however, it may contain some bugs because it's relatively new and it prevents u from downloading media for the sake of piracy.

i cant seem to decide. i dont want to miss out on the chance of a free upgrade but dont want to risk my computer against potential bugs.

hi, is there any way i could program a macro where it can automatically read the data inside microsoft excel until the last row and compute them into a line chart? this is because i always need to store in addition data and hope that by just using a button, i will be able to get all the old and new data inside excel to be read and display them into the chart... hope someone will be able to help me thanks

To the Microsoft Word experts- I need step by step advice please! I am using MS Word making business cards in the Avery 8371 label template that is embedded in the program. Once choosing the Avery 8371 and displaying the document grid it automatically built out the 10 business cards 2 columns by 5 rows. At the top left business card, I started making my custom card using text and a graphic which I use as my logo. In order to this and make it look like I wanted, I had to build tables (with invisible lines) within tables to seperate the text and the graphic. The card looked awesome! Here's my problem: I cannot copy this business card to the other 9 cards on the same document page becuase it jumbles the tables all up and I don't know what the heck I'm doing. It would take me for ever to build all of these individually and I'm sure they would not all look alike. Is there a way to auto copy all 10 of them to their appropriate biz card fields without this problem ???

Ok well I really want to get Vista Home Premium or Ultimate on my machine. However the prices are a tad bit expensive so I wasn't sure if I would jump to Vista so soon. However I was browsing download.com (CNET) and saw download upgrades for the different versions of Vista. The prices for the Upgrades were much cheaper then the retail price of the new OS. I am currently running XP media center edition.
What I want to know is, what is the catch for the upgrading thing? If I purchase the upgrade thing and download it is it bassically the same thing as going out and purchasing Vista from a store?
Also the file size is only 2.1 GB. I thought it would be bigger?
